Houston fell to 0-4 on the season Friday after losing to Christian Brothers 49-14 on the road. After falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter, the Mustangs got on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a 13-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Bates to Emmett Whitaker. Bates finished the game with two touchdowns, 155 passing yards and one interception. Whitaker had five catches for 45 yards. Down 35-7 going into the second half, the Mustangs struck again with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Bates to Chanse Pullen. However, Houston would not find the end zone again in the game, as the Purple Wave held the Mustangs to 86 rushing yards while picking up 363 ground yards of their own. Carson Blackfan led Houston with 69 rushing yards on 18 carries. Houston will play at 3-1 Bartlett this Friday. The Panthers are coming off a 39-0 drubbing of Oakhaven.
